Online Marketing Degree - Is It Necessary?

Is an online marketing degree necessary? Short answer, no.
To my knowledge, there is not an accredited degree program to teach online marketing to internet marketers. There are colleges and universities that teach traditional marketing through online courses where you can earn a degree.

So let's not confuse the two meanings.

Online accredited courses have become quite popular for students to learn the same material and earn a degree from the comfort of their home instead of being in a classroom setting. Online marketing is really learning how to take what you have to offer someone and market to the online world of people surfing the Internet every day around the world. There are many, many courses available online for free, as well as for sale, to teach you how to do this.

Be careful in doing so because there are also many, many ways to get scammed online.
There are legitimate programs online that can teach you how to quickly and effectively start to make money online without the need for an online marketing degree.
One of the most important steps to making money quickly is getting your website set up and then it becomes a matter of promoting your site so you can generate traffic to your website, leads and sales for your business.

In some instances, website setup is done for you and is also a free service along with free training how to guide you through the process of learning marketing. As you can see, an online marketing degree is not necessary for the purpose of marketing products or services on the Internet.
